In horror, April tried to scramble away from the snake in front of her, even as her eyes said
it was part of her. She fell off the bed, with her tail following her.
"Okay, get a grip..." she gasped. After a minute of getting her breathing under control,
she tried to move her tail, more carefully this time. Balancing on its coils seemed as easy
as walking had been.
After a long time staring at herself, she looked around the room and noticed a curious
scroll on her desk. She opened it and read:
"I've been watching the way you used those powers. The way you treated your family
leaves no doubt: you are a snake. Be thankful I only changed you halfway to match."
