“Didn’t you hear? Jenkins, go and fetch me some more horse serum you halfwit!”
“Oh that shouldn’t be necessary just at the moment” Jenkins replied coldly “I think you’ve got bigger things to worry about, your beautiful new tail for example.”
“What!?” The woman’s hands darted to her backside where, sure enough, a horse’s tail had begun to sprout. “No, no this isn’t happening!”
“Oh come on you must have seen the process a hundred times” Jenkins replied in his dry and unsympathetic voice “you know where this is going.” As if to support his point, the attendant’s ears had become pointed and covered with dark fur.
“What… what about that antidote, you know, the one you were developing?” The woman pleaded with a clear note of panic in her voice.
“Ah yes my brilliant failsafe! I’ll just go and fetch it… oh wait, we weren’t able to complete the formula because SOMEONE decided to divert our resources to ‘more important projects’ if I remember correctly.”
