“Well I don’t think we can let your outrageous behaviour go unpunished.”
Jenkins pretended to be angry with the feisty officer even though he had done him a massive favour by transforming his former boss. Now that he was in charge he could realise his vision for the future of the stables. But first he had to deal with these two troublemakers.
As Jenkins thought up a fitting punishment, the male officer struggled to say something before Jenkins removed the rag from his mouth. “Please, I'm sorry for what I did but how was I to know that would happen?” He motioned to the frisky stallion that impatiently paced up and down, eager to get at the mares in the next room. “That could’ve been me for Christ’s sake! Now you seem a bit more reasonable than that crazy bitch so I’m asking you to let us both go and we won’t say a word.”
“Let you go? Ha! If I did that we’d all be finished. Plus, if my colleagues ever found out that I let you go I’d wind up in a stall in no time. They are fiercely loyal after all.”
“But you can’t. Please! At least spare her” he said motioning to his colleague “she had nothing to do with this!”
“She’s seen far too much I’m afraid, you both have. If word of our little operation were to get out the whole zoo would be finished. No, I think your punishment will be all the more fitting if your beautiful colleague shares it with you.”
Both officers started to panic as it was becoming obvious that Jenkins was just as deranged as his predecessor. Nevertheless they continued to desperately beg for mercy.
Jenkins ignored their fearful pleas as he continued. “Before we get started let’s see who we’ve got here.” Jenkins casually flicked through the pair’s confiscated belongings. “Let’s see… Officer Mark Nelson and… Officer Georgina Edwards.” He crouched down to examine the officers closely. “Hmmm… fit, strong, elegant, yes I think you’ll both make fine equine stock.”
Both bound officers grew increasingly terrified as they listened to this psychopath whilst remembering what had happened to the stablewoman earlier. Officer Georgina began to sob as she imagined being turned into a beast like the unfortunate female attendant.
“Now let’s begin.” With that, Jenkins carefully injected Mark with a large dose of equine serum. The startled officer cried out in both pain and panic as the implications of this act ran through his mind. Meanwhile officer Georgina sobs became a torrent of tears as her colleague was doomed to his new fate. Her crying only grew more intense as she too was injected with the foul concoction.
Despite the horrified reactions of his captives Jenkins retained his stone-faced composure. After all, he knew none of their pleas mattered now. Their fates were sealed.
