Catherine's eyes slowly opened as he yawned, exposing his sharp teeth, he looked at the female wolf, who was still sleeping, her breasts were noticeably larger, due to the amount of milk inside them, confirming that she was indeed pregnant.
Catherine still felt guilty over his decision, he was about to exit the cave, until his ears twitched as he heard multiple voices right outside of it.
"Are we sure that she is here? It could be a trap." said a male voice, sounding extremely paranoid.
"She must be, the trail leads there, we never abandon a comrade, no matter what." another voice said, still masculine, sounding determined, reminding Catherine of his fiancé.
"Stop chating you too, if Catherine is indeed here we need to safely take her away from here." another different male voice said, sounding like the commander of the team, "We lost too many brave souls in this place, not to mention her fiancé would be devastated if he heard that she disappeared." he continued.
Catherine heard the footsteps of the rescue team draw closer, "Shit!" he said, as he quickly picked up his ID card, along with a backup shirt from the sled, wrapping it around his waist, making sure to create a hole for his tail. He then waited for the team to arrive.
The rescue team shortly after arrived, the first thing they saw was the female wolf, one of the soldiers instinctively shot her with a tranquilizer, causing her to fall in a deeper sleep.
One of the soldiers also saw the sled, "The sled! Catherine must be here." he exclaimed, looking at the commander of the team.
"But the wolf was sleeping here, there's no way Catherine would've sheltered here with a wolf." the second soldier said, as he picked up the female wolf, taking her to a cage, unbeknownst to him, a small droplet of the female's wolf milk leaked into one of his open wounds, caused by a small training incident.
"Unless..." the commander stated, fearing that the tranquilized wolf was Catherine.
"I'm right here." said Catherine, making the commander turn around along with the two soldiers, the three of them took two steps back as they saw the beast Catherine became, he quickly threw his ID card at the commander, who picked it up and looked at it, his expression changed into one filled with suprise, the creature before him was Catherine.
The commander quickly removed his winter mask, to ease his speech, "Catherine, what the hell happened to you? Why do you look like a werewolf?" he asked, his mind was filled with pure confusion. He has never seen something like this before, "And why are you a male now?"
"Long story." stated Catherine, "Do you remember those strange serums? I took the genetic code of a male artic wolf and injected it into my veins." he said, trying to tell the most important details. "After a few seconds I turned into... This." he said, looking at his extremely muscular and furred body. "I then found the female wolf you're currently extracting and I followed her to this cave, then well..." he paused, blushing a little as his ears twitched a little.
"You mated with her?" asked one of the soldiers, who was currently tending to the wolf, receiving a quick nod from Catherine.
"Well, atleast you know how it feels like to be a male now." the commander said, "Anyways, human or not, you are still part of the family, let's get you and this beauty out of here." said the commander, as he, along with the two soldiers and Catherine left the cave, taking the sled and the pregnant she-wolf with them.
