When John thought about it, he didn't really want to risk screwimg this up on himself. He had no idea what might happen.
John mixed up another few batches of his compound to make sure he had some on hand in case of emergencies. He then took 2 batches with him to give to test subjects.
As John left the house, he decided to go for a walk to the park. When he got there, he saw a bunch of kids playing on the playground or running around elsewhere.
He sometimes wished that he were that age again. Back then, such superficial differences hadn't mattered nearly as much.
John saw a young boy, about 10, looking longingly at a football game being played nearby, which included his older brother.
He saw a quiet 14 year old boy, silently reading a book in the shade of an oak tree.
He saw a 16 year old standing nearby, looking bored, while an 18 year old was keeping a close eye on some of the younger kids.
He even saw his young neighbor, Brody, and his older brother, Beth's boyfriend, Hunter.
