Long ago, in an age so far past few records remain of it, 14 totems existed. Nobody knows who made them, and nobody knows where they came from. However, one thing is for certain. These totems were artifacts of great and dangerous power. For each totem held a unique elemental power and were capable of transforming those around it into humanoid creatures that could wield the power of those elements. Once transformed, those affected would band together into “tribes” and use their powers to convert others into their “tribe” through sexual domination.
The tribes are as follows:
-Flora Tribe: Those affected by the Flora Totem have control over plant life, including vines and thorns. Dryads and Alraune are common forms for this tribe to take.
-Ignis Tribe: Wielding the power of fire, members of this tribe take on the forms of fiery mythological creatures such as dragons, salamanders, kitsune and djinn. Some may even become lava slime people.
-Aqua Tribe: Granting the power of water, those affected by this totem take on the forms of anthropomorphic aquatic creatures, both freshwater and saltwater, and even mythological, like mermaids.
-Caelum Tribe: This totem grants the power of flight and wind, turning those affected by it into anthropomorphic birds and bats of all kinds.
-Arthropoda Tribe: An unusual totem tribe, it’s members often appear as anthropomorphic insects and arachnids, like ants and mantises.
-Terra Tribe: Gifted with the power of earth, Terra Tribe members take on two distinct forms: Humanoids with rocky skins(and occasionally gemstones) , or they may gain traits useful for living underground(Large claws and night vision, for instance)
-Fulgur Tribe: The lightning Elemental Tribe, their members most often resemble anthropomorphic rodents and lizards.
-Toxin Tribe: Toxin Tribe members find themselves will all manner of venomous fangs, barbs and spines. Some may even have the power to breath a foul smelling smokescreen. Commonly they may appear as venomous anthropomorphic animals such as snakes, or even a “toxic slime person”
-Cryo Tribe: An Ice Elemental tribe, their members can appear as humanoids made entirely out of ice, anthropomorphic animals associated with cold climates(Polar bears, Arctic foxes) or “snow slime people”
-Ferrum Tribe: They appear as humanoids seemingly sculpted out of metal. They have the power to turn any part of their bodies into sharp blades and points.
-Bellum Tribe: They appear as large bulky humanoids, with superhuman abilities like super strength and speed.
-Mortus Tribe: Although they are still among the living, they take appearances resembling creatures such as vampires and mummies(although not quite as “dead” looking) like some of the other tribes, they too have “slime people”, in this case, “shadow” slimes which are a deep purple)
-Nympha Tribe: Another “unusual” totem, members are much shorter than an unaffected human, and have a very feminine appearance and voice(even if the affected was male) and bubbly personality. They are very naive and bimbo-ish, and their powers are accompanied by bright pretty colors.
Now the 14th totem is unique. It is the Purity Totem. It has no tribe attached to it, but and in fact works in reverse. It actually cleanses the effects of the other totems, returning those affected to their former human state and granting temporary immunity to “infection” as well. Whoever finds it must be very careful, as they hold the key to undoing the madness the others unleash.
Other rules
-After the initial “wave” unleashed by the totem, “conversion” of other humans is started strictly through heterosexual sex(only men can start to convert women and only women can start to convert men), however once the “conversion” has begun, any member of either sex may join in to speed up the process.
-When two members of different tribes fight and one wins, the winner may attempt to convert the loser(unlike the above, sex of the individuals does not matter). However, it may backfire, resulting in the “loser” transforming into a dual powered individual(for example a Flora member may try to convert an Aqua member, but may end up with a dual Flora/Aqua powered individual with powers of both). Dual powered individuals(henceforth DPI) are much stronger than single powered individuals, however many(but not all) of them are distrusted by both tribes due to fears that they may be sold out to the other, leaving the DPI an outcast.
Phew! Now that that’s out of the way, on to the first choices. The totems have activated in the early 21st century, spreading their chaos. Are we going to see the chaos from the very beginning, or will we skip ahead a few years, seeing the the solidifying of the tribes and the state of humanity? If we start from the beginning, do the totems activate all at once, or one at a time?
