This is going to be a slightly modified start. Instead of merely totems, there are now elemental spirits(with the same or similar names as the respective tribes up above), formerly having been sealed away, and they are now free, each one of them seeking power over the others by converting humans into anthropomorphic monsters of their respective element, who will then go on to corrupt other humans. At first, instead of a wave, the spirit will "bless" an individual, and then the individual will "bless" more people, with the influence of the spirit growing stronger and their "followers" eventually being able to turn more people at a time. The Purity Totem is still an object to be guarded carefully by whomever finds it.
So now first question is: Which spirit are we going to follow as they spread their influence across the world?
