"The West sounds fun." I said.
"But I just said we can't go there. It's dangerous."
"And that is what makes it more exciting. You can't live life without spice." Maybe that's how I died in a precious life. Doing something stupid but fun. But stupid nonetheless.
"If you say so. But we can't go there on foot alone. I'll call a cab."
I looked around but the road is desolate. Except for us.
"How? There isn't a single vehicle in sight."
"Don't worry. I have this." Henry pulled out the rectangular black thingy he always carry around. It lights up, flash some moving pictures and creates sounds even though it isn't connected to wire."
He did his usual tapping and then he waited. And before I know it, a cab appeared in the horizon. Without calling it, the cab stopped right in front of us. Henry climbed aboard and so did we.
"That was amazing." I said with wonder.
"Now that you're out, I'm going to teach you the ropes of the outside world." Henry said.
"Who are you talking to kid?" The driver asked.
"My mom." Henry tapped his phone.
"Where to?"
"Anywhere Downtown."
As the car revved up, I kept my spirit latched unto Henry's. That way, I won't get left behind when the car moved.
The sceneries around looked serene. The horizon was filled with evergreen pine that painted the landscape green on white. Scattered stones dotted the plains with frozen hay stacks in between. It was beautiful, for the first few minutes. Instead of driving straight through the suburbs, the driver took a turn towards the townside route. He said it was faster that way.
"Psst,"
"What?" Henry whispered.
"Let me possess that guy." I pointed at the driver. "I want to drive."
"Do you even know how to drive?"
"I think so." I seen to remember a vague memory of me driving on a dark road. So that must mean I know how to drive. "...-"
