"Karwen, youf had your fthun, butf youf got to undo thith." you plead around your mouthful of buckteeth.
Karen glares at you, and you recognize her father's "won't-take-no-for-an-answer" look in her eyes. "I don't have to do anything! YOU have to do what I say, because you're my pet! Now let's go outside and say hi to daddy!" You start to roll your eyes at the thought of an 8 year old bossing you around, but your legs start to move of their own accord and you find yourself uncontrollably walking outside behind Karen. You realize what "Behavior: Under control of owner" must have meant, and you feel the slightest of tingles from the collar that tells you it's somehow what's controlling your movements.
"Well well well, having fun in that getup, 'bunny boy'? You look just adorable!" Dennis says when you exit the booth. You ignore him and dash immediately into the bathroom next door, and head straight for the sink to try and wash the paint off. You scrub and rinse and use up all the soap in the dispenser, but you don't so much as smudge a single whisker from your face. You don't even feel like you have paint on you, it's like your skin is just naturally these colors. You try to rip the collar off, too, but find that although touching it is fine, you just can't make yourself remove it. Feeling around it gently, you can feel that under the plush outside, it's got a solid metal core, so even if you could try, you don't think you could destroy it. After several minutes of failure, you give up, your frustration causing you to shout "SHIT!" at nobody in particular. Karen, however, hears you shouting from outside.
"HEY! Bad bunny! Don't say bad words!"
"I'll hopping thwear if I hoppity-hop want to! Waith, I mean I'll gosh-bun thwear if I diggity-darn want to!" No matter what swear you think of, you find you can't help but replace it with something silly when you try and say it out loud. Even just the word "swear" makes you feel a little uncomfortable to say. Your anger dissolves into resignation, and you give up on cleaning yourself off for now and walk outside, where Dennis is waiting for you, making a half-effort at stifling his laughter. Karen is a short distance away, temporarily distracted by playing one of the booth games.
Dennis recovers from his laughter enough to say "You know, when Karen told me what the machine did, I couldn't believe her, but after that little outburst you had in there, well" and then he breaks down laughing again. "I guess you really are stuck this way!"
"Dennith! Pleathe, youf got to helph me out here!"
"Well, honestly, at first I tried to see how to change you back, but I didn't see any obvious option to do so in the booth. I figured maybe instead of undoing the whole thing, I could tell the booth to set you to a human..." You look up excitedly, in your panic over a lack of undo buttons, you hadn't thought about simply setting the both to make you a human manually "...but then I got to thinking, and the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced Karen could use a companion. Both me and her mother are busy a lot, and having someone to occupy her time would be a real boon. Plus, having her take care of you would teach her some responsibility!"
"Take CARE ofth me? I'm a gwown man, I can take care of mythelf!"
"Are you now?" Dennis says, raising an eyebrow and scanning you up and down, making you realize how ridiculous that statement sounded coming from your present self. "'Course, if I'm being honest, I like the idea of you being my pet as well. Having a cute, helpless little thing like you around the house sounds pretty nice..." As he says this, he reaches down and ruffles your hair behind your bunny ears. You push his hand away and glare at him.
"How efacthly do you exfect that to work? I'm not any more willing to be your peth than I am Karen'th!"
"Well..."
