"You two have always been horses, as have I," Ms. Tomlin said which just confused the two of you more. "Everyone on Earth is actually a horse."
"Wait, what?" Lindsey asked. "I think I would remember being a horse, that doesn't even make sense. How could we always have been horses without knowing it?"
"Because your perceptions were changed, the truth is that this has been the case for years," Ms. Tomlin said with a sigh. "Many years ago there was a catastrophic event that killed off most of the human population. However it had, odd effects on horses to make them more intelligent. Someone got it in their head to change their perceptions to create the illusion that humanity survived. My ancestors were among the few that were told the truth after the last of the true humans died out."
"Then why are you telling us this now?" You asked confused. "I mean if there is some great conspiracy, why tell us now?"
"Because the perceptions are already starting to wear off, it will only be a matter of time before there are no more "humans" left," Ms. Tomlin said. "We need people who are already aware of the truth to be able to get them accustomed to the new reality. I know it sounds crazy, but it is the truth. We'll be exposing more of your class to the truth, I just wanted to start with you because you seemed the most likely to accept it."
