Phillip woke up and opened his eyes. He yawned, a long, deep sound, before rolling over and yanking the covers back over his head.
Further sleep became impossible when his alarm clock began to beep constantly. Quickly a big meaty hand came out and slapped it off.
Grumbling, Phillip got up and made his way to the bathroom for a shower. After he got out, he stood in front of the mirror admiring his body. He really was handsome, with his raven-black, glossy, wavy hair; his bright green eyes, his chiseled features, and his black 5 o'clock shadow. He was also the peak of masculinity, with his large muscles all over his body and sizable package. He rubbed a hand over his beachball pecs and 8-pack abs and flexed a baseball-sized bicep.
Phillip went back to his room and pulled on stylish, close-fitting clothes that showed off his body. He went downstairs and ate a large breakfast. At 18, Phillip was the only boy left at home. Finn, now 26, was in the NFL; Luke, now 24, was on the American FIFA team; and the twins, now 20, preferred to show off their bodies rather than use them. They were Abercrombie and Fitch models now.
At first, Phillip hadn't been sure he belonged in this house, full of athletic people. In fact, early on kids at school had bullied him for his small size and his adoption, saying he would never belong. But as he grew closer to his family, he became determined to prove the bullies wrong. He had joined youth football that fall, and quickly proved he was a talented quarterback.
When he was 13, he'd grown into his handsome face, and had a lean, toned body, weighing in at about 135 pounds . He'd dated a pretty girl, but she eventually dumped him because he was still too small for her. Angry at her rejection, he'd begun weight training and transformed again, gaining 40 pounds within a year. By high school he weighed 215 pounds, where he hovered now.
Since then, Phillip had discovered his self-worth and become content with himself. After all, he thought as he walked out the door to drive to school, what could possibly be missing from his life?
