Melody was a young Unicorn mare with a dappled coat, or at least that was in her normal form. Right now she was in a human disguise moving through a small town as she eyed the other humans around her. She imagined what all of them might be like if they were Unicorns like her. She had been one of the first to learn the spell from Marigold, and she was looking forward to trying it on her first human.
She had lived in this town for a while and had made her fair share of friends. One downside to her long life was that she knew that she was going to outlive all of them, but maybe this was a way to change that at least for some of them. Making them her own herd was something that excited her as she thought about which one she could talk to first.
Monica was a single mother of a 5-year-old girl, she was often working two jobs just to keep things together. She could find the idea of becoming a Unicorn and joining a herd that would help her out appealing.
David was an outdoorsy type who often spent time in the surrounding forest. Melody had spent a lot of time with him in the forest and knew that the nature aspect of being a Unicorn could appeal to him in that regard. It wasn't an easy sell to make, but she figured she could try.
Rachel was a lover of horses and had always had a love of Unicorns. She was the only human Melody had confided her true identity in and the two of them had become close friends. She would likely be the easiest to convince.
Thomas was the one that was going to be the hardest to convince. He was a natural skeptic who didn't believe in anything like magic or unusual creatures or whatever. She'd have to prove it to him somehow, and that wasn't going to be easy.
