Shaking the feeling of the changes off, Edwin pushed forward past the already transforming people. It seemed that the changes progressed normally as long as people thought about them. Although, that didn't mean the changes would stop all together.
Gabby put one of his hands on Edwin, an unnaturally feminine concerned look crossing his face. "Hey, are you okay, Edwin?"
Edwin simply grit his teeth, giving Gabby an uneasy smile. "Yeah, yeah.... I'm okay..." Really, he wasn't, he could feel whatever changes the Chronivac had put on him still lingering over him, waiting to begin. "We should really get to the Chronivac now.."
Gabby frowned, seeing how Edwin was fighting the changes, allowing Edwin to lean on his now much larger frame. "That won't end well for you, fighting the changes like that, you know?" Edwin simply brushed her remark off, continuing to move forward, with the support of Gabby of course.
The two made it outside, however, and were pretty stunned by what they were seeing. While changes within the campus were strictly restricted to race or gender, it seemed that changes outside were very, very different. Edwin and Gabriela witnessed people turning into animals right before their eyes, and animals turning into naked humans.
"Guess things worked differently out here, huh?" Gabby remarked to Edwin as a passerby stumbled down onto the ground, turning quickly into a golden retriever.
"Only even more of a reason to try and get the Chronivac back." Edwin let out, moving off of Gabby, thinking that he could stand on his own now.
Unfortunately, almost immediately after Edwin began to walk on his own, the changes from before immediately began to take effect, not waiting to be held back any longer.
Edwin fell to the ground, much to Gabby's worry as his body began to change right in front of him, the gender changes from before taking effect. Weakly opening his eyes, he saw himself turning into.....
