Leaving the Statues Behind

added by Blorb006 4 years ago BM I S

leave them behind. With a sigh, Issac willed his body to shift, emerging from his elemental chest were lifeless statues made of pure stone. Detailed and lifelike, anyone who saw them would’ve assumed they had been created by a great master, and never realize they were actually the victims of a basilisk’s stone turning glare.

Issac gave a groan as he used all four arms to gently lift each statue from his form onto the ground, being careful despite his urge to rush. Any cracks or chips could potentially manifest as fatal blows if they were ever to be cured of their condition. So Issac spent great care in setting them down on the ground gently.

Doing so let him examine the statues more throughly than he did before, allowing him to see the variety of creatures he had stored within themselves. The majority were human adventurers, their bodies frozen in a static state of fear or anger. Others were corrupted monsters, demons, witches, gnolls, even what appeared to be a dragon hatchling either blessed or born from some elemental air plane, judging by their lumpy almost cloud like body.
Regardless of their origin, their forms still retaining such a realistic quality it was hard not to expect them to suddenly come alive at any moment.

When Issac finally pulled out the last statue from his body and placed it on the ground, he gave a immense sigh of relief. He had shrunk by a large margin, although still being taller than a human, he felt a great wave of ecstasy rolling through his body. He could actually move now. Each step didn’t feel like he was moving through move, and the entire stone tunnel he was in seemed so much bigger now. It felt like he had grown younger and he loved it, although he did feel a immense guilt as he stared at the statues haphazardly placed within the tunnel.
He vowed to one day return and cure them of their affliction. But first, he had to find Ilvir, wherever he was. His spawn was missing, and he would be found. He ignored the stirring in his now smaller but still large cock and balls as his mind thought of Ilvir. No time for that now.

Giving himself a single moment more to relish his new found freedom, he stretched his granite limbs as far as he could, preparing himself to enter the library. He knew what to expect. The monster had come for Ilvir the second he had made noise, so despite Issac’s rush, he’d have to move quietly.

Walking to the doorway, Issac willed his body to compress slightly, making sure not to damage the few items he stored within himself like the Lexicon. It felt like he was tensing all his muscles up and gave him a great discomfort as his form physically shrank even more as he passed through the doorway, into the same place Ilvir was attacked.

The second he passed through the shadow curtain, a great weight was pressed down upon his mind, even as he released his form and grew back to his standard size. All around him was shadow now, shadows longer and darker compared to what Ilvir had seen. Already he could feel whatever force within his mind trying to break him down, to give into his desperation.

A paladin would not yield so easily. With a determined nod he walked further into the library, surrounded by a endless forest of tomes and scrolls. What does Issac find?
