Amazingly the peace negotiations with the kitsune didnt take long. In less than an hour Mika returned to Circes castle, a bewildered look on her face.
"So how did it go," Kellie asked. Mika gave the others a confused look as she now walked towards Circe. "Well," she started. "The good news is the Kitsune dont want to attack this place."
"Finally some good news," Kellie sighed. Circe paused, looking at the befuddled anthro fox girl. "Your holding something back," she said quietly. "What else happened?"
Mika rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly as she tried to avert eye contact. "Well Lilith was there," she said meekly. "She, um, made a peace deal with the kitsune too."
Kellie and Circes eyes went wide as they now began to pepper Mika with questions. "What did she do," they bellowed.
"You guys should probably sit down this really freaked me out."
As Kellie and Circe now sat before Mika the anthro fox girl she told her tale. Lilith had beaten her to the Kitsunes home and not only apologized but offered reparations for her actions against Yomi. Since the kitsune in that particular clan were infertile Lilith gave them a sacrifice. That sacrifice that consisted of Circes followers from another timeline.
"How could she lay claim to MY followers," Circe exclaimed. "They are under my protection."
Mika blushed, averting her eyes from the angry goddess. "She, um, kind of kicked you out of that timeline."
Circes eyes went wide as her face burned with rage. "I'll kill her that BITCH," she screamed.
"Circe take a deep breath," Baba said, trying to relax the angry goddess.
"Relax nothing Baba," Circe spat. "She attacked me."
"An alternate you," Baba corrected. "You are still in one peace."
"And technically she didnt attack you," Mika said shyly. "She said she was retiring the other you and sending you back to your island." Mikas words did little to put the angry goddess at ease as she glared at Mika. "I'll stop talking now," Mika replied meekly.
"So how is this even possible," Claudia asked.
"Reality alteration," Kellie groaned, rubbing her temples. "Several different versions of reality can be going on at the same time. Lilith simply stepped into one of them and offered those anthros as a sacrifice to these kitsune. Its smart but its giving me a headache just thinking about it."
"Lilith will be dealing with more than a headache when I'm done with her," Circe spat.
"Whoa no," Kellie said quickly. "We are not going down that road."
"She attacked me," Circe answered.
"An alternate you technically," Baba replied.
Kellie sighed, while it appeared the kitsune problem may have resolved itself she was now faced with the problem of a feud between Circe and Lilith. "Look," she sighed. "We lived up to our end of the bargain. We helped forge a peace agreement between you and the kitsune. I really dont want any part of a feud between you and Lilith."
"And what would you have me do daughter of Merlin," Circe stated.
"I dont know," Kellie groaned. "Makeup or something. Drink a bottle of wine, do each others nails, hell have a sleepover I dont care. All I know is I'm taking my friends home."
Circe watched as an obviously frustrated Kellie now began walking for the exit, her friends in tow. "Oh and Circe," Kellie said. "If we visit next time can we please do it when a magical war is about to breakout."
Circe could only nod curtly as Kellie trudged towards the exit. When she got home she was going to raid her dads liquor cabinet, get in her pj's and go to bed
