You decide the first step is to try and change Keith back. You press down the keys and aim them at the lion. There is a bright light that covers Keith
When you open your eyes Keith is standing there, baggy clothes and all. He looks down at himself and sees his old body is back. “I’m not a lion anymore!” He looks at you happily. You let out a sigh of relief. That’s one problem solved. He gets in the front seat of the car. “Alright let’s go home. I’ve had enough of this today.”
You look over to the dog. “I think you’re forgetting someone.” Right on queue the German Shepard barks at you and Keith. Keith looks at you frustrated. “We can’t change him back! We don’t know what he’ll do. He could take the keys or arrest us!”
You motion to the dog. “We can’t just leave him! He’s a person too.” The cop looks at Keith and gives a whine. “Alright, let’s go home first and then we’ll decide what to do with him.” You sigh, you won’t be able to win this. Keith’s stubbornness wins and you drive back to your apartment.
When you get there you sneak the cop in. Your apartment doesn’t allow pets, and your annoying neighbors would surely rat on you. You hold the dogs face and look him in the eyes and say in a stern voice “Alright buddy, you need to keep quiet if you want to be changed back. We can’t let anyone see you here.” The dog lets out a little help of agreement.
You make your way to the apartment and drop your bag on the ground. You lay the keys on the counter and crash on the couch with Keith. “Well now what?” You day gesturing to the keys. Keith looks at you with an evil grin. “We play with these.” He picks up the keys and dangles them in the air.
You give him an angry look. “No. These are not a toy.”
“Well they can be if we want them to be”
“No. Do you want to end up as a lion again? We don’t even know how they work.”
“That’s why we don’t test them on ourselves. We have to test them out, how else are we going to figure out how they work.” He’s sort of right, you don’t want to test them on yourselves, and you are really curious how they work
“Well what about our dog here?” You nearly forgot about the German shepherd laying in the floor by the couch.
Keith takes off the dogs vest and puts on a collar. “Hell be our new pet” he says petting the dog behind the ear. The cop hears this and let’s out a short bark in retaliation.
