"Since Serra became barren, when it come to souls at least, I concentrated on making the gods grow in number, so we could collect as much souls as we needed. It might have been an error… One I intend to correct."
This declaration enraged Mr. McAdam, who futilely tried to punch the First calming "I WON'T LET YOU TAKE THE SOULS OF THOSE POOR GODS!!!"
"I don't plan on taking their souls, you moron." Disdainfully answered the God, dodging. "They already proved their worth, or I wouldn't have made them gods in the first place."
"What I do plan on doing is to ask Bastet to stay on Serra once she come back, to actively track wasted souls such as your own or the Fentons', so they can be put to better use."
Then, someone was heard crying. You all turned in the direction of the sound to see your adoptive mother, Alicia McAdam. Speaking to her, the First said "I know it will be hard for you, loosing him. After all, you love…" But the First got interrupted by Alicia herself.
"No, he… He isn't the man I thought he was. The man… The man I love is just an illusion."
Hearing this saddened everyone, and Emily… You couldn't imagine how heart wrenching it was to your sister.
The First called on Gaïa, asking her to give your family, sans Mr. McAdam, refuge in her sanctuary.
Every god and goddess on Serra have a special place they call their sanctuary. Normally, no mortal can enter a sanctuary, it's not the kind of place you can go using traditional transport. And even a god can't enter another's sanctuary without being invited, except the First themselves.
But if a god trust you enough, and have a need for it, they can give you a magical key that can teleport a mortal to their sanctuary. Of course, said key only work for the mortal who was given it, making it useless junk in the hands of any one else.
Gaïa nodded to the First, and was about to make the keys needed when the Fentons' used everyone's distraction to take Emily and you as hostages. "Turn back our son into a human and let us disappear with him, or we kill those two! We're not kidding!"
