As Damon swallowed the potion with a big gulp, he could feel a rumbling in his stomach.
Even though he could only see a faint glimpse of it, Charlotte, The Sea Witch, and the mermaid were awed to see a golden glow emerge from Damon’s belly.
Charlotte put her hand over her heart and prayed that Damon would be all right. Everything was so close to being right again.
Damon’s shark stomach started to expand and retract quickly before the glow engulfed his entire body.
While Damon once felt pain as the King turned Damon into a shark, he suddenly felt a wave of pleasure pulsing over his body. It felt good as Damon sensed changes going through his body.
His shark snout pulled back into being a normal human head. His teeth became less sharp and pointy. His flippers turn back into hands. Finally, his tail grew out to be a classic fishtail with the same beautiful scales that covered his once human legs, his tailfins even came back to be their familiar dainty selves and flapped to Damon's delight.
Prince Damon could feel his merman form coming back, Damon laid his now-human hands around his waist and felt the smooth transition from human skin to fish scales. The transition felt so nice to touch and Damon knew to not take the human half of his mermadic body ever again.
When the transformation was complete, the glow exploded into little particles, showcasing his merman form in front of everybody.
The mermaid and The Sea Witch were stunned, but Charlotte was more than happy to break the silence.
“Damon!”, Charlotte squealed as she swam towards Prince Damon, giving him a bear hug as her tail embraced his and her head laid on Damon’s chest.
“Oh, Damon. I’m so glad you’re back.”, Charlotte spoke as she cried tears of joy. Damon returned the hug and gave a good long kiss to Charlotte on the mouth - something Damon wanted to do since he kissed the back of her hand. Charlotte moaned in satisfaction, she felt as she was in total bliss again.
“Ooooh… So that’s why Charlotte’s into this Damon fellow, he looks quite handsome as a merman. For a moment, I thought he might explode for a second there.” The Sea Witch cackled to herself.
The mermaid smiled as she saw the loving display of affection of Prince Damon and Princess Charlotte. After spending a long time with Damon, it felt good to see him finally embrace the ocean with such open arms.
After what felt like an eternity, the two lovers were finally together at last.
