"What's going on?!" Adam grabbed onto the sink trying his best to disobey Frank. But the more he did so the more he could see changing about his body. His tall muscular body was pulling in on itself. Slowly shrinking. He was getting shorter. He barely stood eye level to Frank.
"C'mon buddy," Frank pulled at the harness wrapped around Adam's chest. He hadn't noticed that his shirt had changed right before his eyes. On both sides of his body 'K-9 UNIT' was written with bold white letters. Adam struggled with the hard plastic like material adorning his chest.
"No," Adam struggled to pull back. More black and brown hair grew up and down his body. He could see the dense fur filling more and more of his body. "This isn't right. This isn't right," he begged for Frank to understand him but the security guard just kept pulling at his leash. Adam fell to the floor. He watched his fingers pull back closer to the palm of his hand while they were shrinking. His thumbs pulled up past his hand and to the side of his arm.
"What's gotten into you today?" Frank asked as he pulled the Adam out of the bathroom. With the few footsteps Adam's feet fell out of his shoes while his shorts dropped down his legs. He looked back seeing his feet had started to change just like his hands. He was walking closer on his toes but they had the same sharp black claws trying to dig into the ceramic tile beneath them. However, there wasn't any traction. He couldn't keep himself up and fell to the floor.
Frank let out a gasp, "Adam..." he lowered himself to the ground and pet the German Shepard on the back trying to calm him down.
John walked down the hall and saw Adam's head attached to the dog body. "Hey there Frank. Everything alright?" he stifled a chuckle at the odd amalgamation of human and animal.
Adam jumped up on his hind paws and tried to get John's attention. "Help me. Help," he begged.
Frank pulled back at Adam. "Down!" he ordered. "I just don't know what's gotten into him today... He's normally so good but all of a sudden it's like something spooked him." Adam let out a slight whimper as his nose grew black and started to push further forward on his face. He could feel his face growing more and more into a muzzle. His mouth opened wide allowing large sharp teeth to grow in where his human ones still remained.
"Odd," John said. "Maybe something about him's changed. I would hate to think that he used to be something else and then changed into a bad dog. But maybe if he's a good dog he'll be able to change back." John stared down at the German Shepard, clearly trying to relay the hint. Adam's head turned to the side knowing exactly what he meant.
