The rest of the school day went similarly to the morning for Dan and continued to get a bit stranger. He noticed a few more colored highlights in people's hair as things went on. A few had gone further, by the end of forth period Lisa a full head of Blue Hair and seemed a bit paler and with a reddish hint that implied a cold, which was not unique to her. A decent number of the girls were also smelling sweet. Some of them were minty like MiMi, others smelt of chocolate, strawberries, peaches, maple syrup, flowers or other such things that he could not put his hands on. Clothes also seemed a bit brighter in color and glossier than they once were. A couple of people had commented on it casually. The fact that Mr Smith had apparently decided to shave goatee over the lunchbreak was noticed, but dwelt on his mind for only a short while
He continued to muse on this even as he went to the bathroom and noticed something strange in the mirror: he now had a lick of violet in his hair. He had no idea how it got there but this was getting weird. By the time the final bell rang and it was time to go home he was weirded out. Especially since there were now a few female students sporting clown noses. Still basic, just patches of odd coloration near the nostrils, but it was was an odd sign. With some trepidation he did not go home, but he went to Michelle's house to get some answers. 718 Lyon was a normal suburban home and looked like it always did, well ordered and slightly boring. This put Dan's mind at ease as he rang the doorbell. A few seconds latter the door opened and he was suddenly dragged in before closing the door. In the confusion he caught "Oh There You Are!" before he could get a good look at what brought him.
He'd recognized the voice, it was clearly that of Michelle's mother. And what dragged him in did look something like her, or at least the younger versions of her in general, though like her daughter she'd decided to go in for a severe clown makeover. The word which described her was Pink. There were traces of non pink on her, but those only served to highlight the pinkness. She had glossy light pink skin with white shadow and a white muzzle around her pouty electric pink lips, white freckles, long white lashes and white arched eyebrows. Her hair was an electric pink which gradually turned to burgundy towards and was done up in a single ponytail held in place with a band which had wrapped sweet in place of a bow. She wore a tight halter top dress which was white with a pink trim, heart shaped boob window and a puffed out skirt, white ruffed gloves, leggings with a spiral pink and white candy cane pattern and a pair of hot pink pumps. She also seemed to be wearing a set of pink and white fairy wings. All in all it worked, indeed it worked really well as far as Dan thought, but it was still bizarre. "MiMi told me you'd be here."
"Well...um...Hi Sandra." Dan said
"Sweets if you'd please. MiMi told me you'd be over."
"Right...Is MiMi here?" The statement was redundant, but he was a bit on edge.
"Yeah, she's in the Living Room." The clown-lady said. "Have Fun!"
"...okay..." Dan said weakly as he walked into the Living Room. There he found her, still done up as MiMi lying on a couch reading a book.
"Hi Michelle." Dan said nervously.
"MiMi, remember!" MiMi corrected before giggling to herself. She seemed quite happy to see him arrive.
"Okay MiMi. I see your Mom's a clown too."
"Guilty as charged!" Sweets said from the next room over.
"So is she helping you out with the Play?"
"Yep! Mommy Sweets is helping me out with BigTop Blowout!"
"Okay..." Dan asked increasingly worried "But is that why she's all clowned up?"
"Oh? Don't you think she looks nice?" MiMi said as she sat up.
"Well...um...yes." It was hardly a lie. Now that he thought about it Sweets was a clowny goddess. Not that Michelle did not look stunning as MiMi. "But. But that's not what I asked about. Why is she a Clown? And what was going on at school today?"
"Well, about that..."
