Jimmy backed away as the bullies started to pick on him, give him light punches and make insults about his mummy costume. Their their brute force strength was too much for Jimmy. They threw him into the middle of the backyard and started taunting him for his outfit. "Didn't you hear it was an 80s themed Halloween party, you idiot?" said one jock. "Look at this little dweeb, he will never be like us! He's a fucking loser!" Everyone was laughing and pointing at Jimmy.
As Jimmy felt more locked in, more imprisoned by the group of bullies, he put his hands in his pockets and he felt the ring. The ring started to buzz an energy that made him feel more confident and assured, but he also felt a certain amount of corruption, like his normally level-headed and reasonable self started to erode. He wasn't sure what to make of it.
"Hey dweeb! What are you going to do about us?!" Matt said, approaching him. "Let's fuck this kid up, this kid has pissed me off all our time at school! Why did you even invite this little weasel, John?"
John replied, "because dude, I thought it would be fun to make fun of him, show him who's boss, who's way more awesome than him!"
Jimmy started getting nervous, but as he clinched onto the ring, whatever rational thoughts he had in his head started to fade once more as he felt more and more proud of himself. "You know he" he told himself, "fuck these guys, I can do what I want!"
