Centuries ago, long before most lands were known, a small village of feudal townsfolk existed on the outskirts of what would one day become Ireland. The town was barely remarkable in the history of the world, like most townships at the time, yet the town still existed to this day in some form. And while it seemed impossible, one citizen managed to exist to this day as well. This woman was Niahm Campbell, an Enchantress known among the town as nothing but a tall tale of sorts, because what she could do was the stuff of dreams.
Niahm was an Enchantress, which meant she could control the forces of magic to complete her tasks, like most Enchanters of the time. However, what made Niahm stand out from others, and as such, made her so well-known, was her unorthodox use of her powers. Whilst others used them for their own deeds, Niahm used her powers to grant commoners their deepest pleasures and desires. She would allow people to approach her domain, and ask for what they desired most. But these desires came at a heavy price.
Enchanters, or at least the kind that Niahm was, were feasibly immortal, meaning they'd live as long as the reality they existed in did. And while most chose to live life like a normal human, Niahm decided to have a bit more fun. Although she never let it on, she required a price for all her spells. Once an enchanted person died, they would become a part of Niahm's league of immortal slaves, destined to be used by her whenever and however she desired. Why Niahm decided to do this was a mystery, but she always has, ever since she could remember.
Now, Centuries since she began her adventures, she still resides in a little cabin in the woods on the outskirts of her town, still granting humble favors for whoever desires them.
