While there was plenty of new members coming into Animalia, the "older" ones certainly weren't being neglected.

Andre and Melissa had not only applied for the GGAC, but were also working on Melissa's new bike. While the frame, etc., were larger and more reinforced to support both Andre and Melissa's weight (because they both wanted to ride it at the same time and didn't really want a side car), it was also designed to look like a dwemer-crafted machine that was found in a ruin the two of them were exploring. When it was finally completed, they were going to have a dungeon crawl to "unlock", but it was still getting designed so there was no rush toward it.
What was also clear was that they were a couple, even when they were working out. This was evident when Melissa was the one spotting Andre on the free weights that she was subtly flirting with him. There was also a few rumors going around that they regularly wrestled with each other to she who would "top" that week, but those were more like fantasies than real facts.

Another thing that was evident was that the herms of Animalia (the unofficial name for their group) were one of the more popular attractions during the IAC. What was also a bit of a relief was that the herms who were pregnant had reached the stage where they weren't suffering morning sickness or mood swings so they wouldn't be causing too much harm, except for those who were getting a little too touchy-feely.

One of the highlights that was covered was the Animalia Track and Field events, not the least that Elly was taking part in the throwing events. While there were some human athletes taking part, this was mainly to get a "baseline" to compare it to the Animalians taking part. After all the scores were tallied up, Elly had won first place in the Shotput, Discus, Hammer Throw, and Javelin events, but finished second in the overall competition. But Elly didn't mind, she was just glad that she was finally getting acceptance.

What was also quite clear that Tyra's frustrations due to the URP being delayed was clearly being "blown off" by physical training, which was clearly showing in the preliminaries. Her level of fitness was so apparent that there were extra security guards working to keep fans off the stage during the bodybuilding competition, and it was also clear that she might have what it takes to make it to the finals in the female division, while Mr. M. was clearly one of the "favorites" in the male division, and Andrew and Jen were considered one of the "favorites" for the couple's division.
But while the Bodybuilding Competition and the Hunter Games at Dinosaur city were the primary highlights, the Track and Field events and the Mesozoic Fight Club Inaugural Tournament were also packed to capacity. Part of what made the MFC interesting were the predator-and-prey matchups. Also, due to Skull Island being home to the majority of aquatic Dinotopians, there was a decision to begin an underwater version of the Mesozoic Fight Club, but there were some (non-sexual) kinks to work out, so it wasn't officially started as a "tournament" until the next IAC. But that was considered fine especially since Tyson was thought to be related to the boxer Mike Tyson due to having a similar name, and Tyson definitely needed to begin training.

Probably what was considered the craziest thing that happened was the "Seven-On-Four" night (the unofficial name). While most of it was "Classified Top Secret" by the PR-MD, there was at least one good thing to come out of it. Sarah "Scala" (her unofficial name to differentiate her from Sarah Wesley) was put in charge of keeping track of current and former porn stars who come to Animalia for conversion. Though they did get a kind of communal apartment with only one big "living room/kitchen combo" and several smaller bedrooms, it was a little unusual that they were all weren't above lesbianism, but it made a little bit of sense after the fact due to the "Seven-on-Four" night.
