Corbin decided the best thing to do was to head back, he didn't want to risk misstepping onto the pads with his giant hooves. He decided the best thing to do was head back on himself, maybe take one of the other paths he saw before. After another 5 minutes of thought he looked around into the darkness with the torch in his hand and walked back down the path.
It was noticeably darker than it had been before, maybe the cold air had blown out the dimly lit torches but Corbin suspected otherwise. He drew his battle axe, prepared for an ambush. But it was still deafly silent, all he could hear was his own raspy deep breaths. IRL it was quite different, while he had been playing rain had started to pour down outside. Corbin didn't know if it was the game doing that, or it was just the weather. Either way he was nervous of what could be lurking in the dark.
He pointed the torch ahead of him, there was still nothing. Perhaps that was just it, maybe this game was now making him paranoid. I mean he could die after all, or perhaps something worst could happen. He didn't really want to think about it, so he pressed onwards gripping the axe tighter.
He soon came back to the crossroads, where he had encountered the more burly minotaur. To Corbins fear he was gone, all that was left was a blood shadow, as well as what looked like a small pouch. Corbin was again paranoid about touching this pouch but he did so anyway. After all it could have something in it which could help him. The pouch was made of a very thick leather, it was black with white streaks across him, like some sort of zebra. There was a wooden button enclosing a fur flap. Corbin stroked the fur against his arm, it felt nice. He theorised it was some sort of hunting pouch, which the minotaur used to store vials and flasks. The thing was though, if it was used to contain those trinklets it wouldn't do a very good job, since the leather was really rough. Whatever was inside this pouch could survive the frictional properties of the leather.
Corbin opened the pouch. The only thing he could identify inside of the pouch was a healing flask, but even that was a unclear guess since the liquid was contained in some of black glass. It must be really resilient. As for the rest of the trinklets corbin didn't have a clue. There was what looked like a small blue marble with red and pink spots on it. An animal bone, with the end cracked off revealing red bone marrow and finally a piece of paper. Corbin looked more closely at this, he turned it in his hands and saw it had a strange symbols on it. It must be another language.
Corbin didn't really know what to do with the trinklets outside of putting them in his pouch. He grabbed the bone, and the black healing flask but as he picked up the marble, a blue glow blinded him. He studded backwards covering his eyes from the intense light. The light seemed to dim slowly. Corbin completely shock by what just happened uncovered his eyes...out floating in front of him was the blue marble. It was now producing a weak cyan light, which illuminated the tunnel around him. Corbin soon came to an understanding of what this thing was, the second he had touched it the light had been expelled out of the marble for it to then adjust to the current environment. Whatever this was marble was, it was a good light source which hovers in the air.
This time Corbin grabbed the marble with other minotaurs pouch and placed it inside his. He finally put the parchment in his pouch and then looked around. On the other side of the room was the path which would take him back to the dart room, while behind him was the path which smelt like a human. Corbin thought perhaps the items might help him back in the dart room however he wasn't sure.
