(This story will contain a part that maybe contradicts what I have established in the last story but just ignore it for now. Also, from now on the stories will be written in the 1st person)
A few hours into your sleep, I suddenly hear a faint noise nearby. At first, I ignored it thinking that maybe it was just the wind or the leaves gently falling which actually made me a bit excited for a few seconds for tomorrow's work . But that excitement dissipates almost immediately as that suddenly sound pops into my "ears" (Earthworms don't actually have ears) again, this time it was even louder than before. Again, I tried to ignore it but it just keeps getting louder to the point where I can't take it any more and "shout": "ALRIGHT, WHO WAS THAT!?" "GEEZ, you don't have to shout THAT loudly!" (Yes, I can "talk" even though you don't have a mouth so I guess I can communicate telepathically and if I could then I must probably be a miracle created by evolution) and you were a bit shocked that I could "speak" but nonetheless, I got out of your burrow and crawl your way to the the direction/source of the sound. When I arrived, I saw another earthworm about the same size as me and he says: "Oh, there you are!" "What do you mean?", I asked with a confused voice. "A few hours ago, I saw you on the surface transforming into an earthworm and I wanted to talk to you but I was worried because you just came and plus, I'm a bit shy." "You don't have to be. Just talk to me about anything!", I replied with a warm and friendly tone. "Thanks. My name's Mark. What's your name?" "Alan, nice to meet you, Mark.", you replied "So, what did you want to ask me?" I questioned him.
" You see: I was also a human and the reason I was transformed into an earthworm because of reasons similar to yours but for the past few days, I couldn't cope with being an earthworm. It's just so unusual and new and I just keep asking myself why I even bothered to come here in the first place. I couldn't even sleep on some days. But then, I saw you crawling down to the ground, digging your burrow and eating soil and I just wondered about how you have already adapted to your new life after only a couple of hours yet I, someone who has already been an earthworm for more than a week is still unable to cope and live like one. And because your burrow relatively close to mine I was thinking about talking about talking to you but I couldn't because I was too afraid."
"Don't be afraid. I also had the same feelings you had when I first arrived but here's an advice: Change the way you think about the environment around you. Consider the soil as a friend and not something unusual. That will help you get you one step closer to adapting your new life. Sometimes I think that life as an earthworm is actually better than life as a human." you explained thoroughly. "Thanks for the advice" Mark happily replies. After a few minutes of talking, Mark says: "Alan, I think you and I could be really good friends. Do you agree?" "Yes, I thought of the same thing as well" After a few minutes, both me and Alan came back to our burrows and got a nice sleep and ready for a brand new day to arrive.
