Ty counted 4 boys, all of whom were in the seventh grade and 13 years old. His new knowledge informed him of their backgrounds.
First was the leader, Tommy, who was 5'3" and 105 pounds. He had a shock of wild blond hair that refused to be tamed, much like his boisterous personality.
Next was Alex, who was 5'10 and 110 pounds. He was tall and thin, with a quiet voice that was rarely used and short black hair.
Then, there was Pete. He was 4'11 and 130 pounds, mostly fat. He had blazing red hair and a cutting tongue to match, standing almost a foot shorter than Alex.
Finally there was Sam, 5'3 and 100 pounds, with brown hair and a personality even shyer than Alex. None of the others had ever heard him utter a sound.
All had potential, Ty thought. He began to concentrate on just one, Sam, to see what would happen.
Tommy and Pete were engrossed in an argument about which of them was better at Fortnite, which the other two barely heard. Sam suddenly felt a twinge, then a slight cramping downstairs. He grimaced as the feeling spread.
Alex was the first to notice. He whispered, "Hey, are you all right?" Sam nodded back through squeezed-up eyeballs, but Alex didn't believe him. He nudged the other two and said, "Something's wrong with Sam."
They all looked at Sam, who suddenly cried out, startling them. Then they noticed something different about him. He looked bigger, more muscular. And soon they realized they were as well.
All four cried out as their bodies stretched and swelled and matured. Soon they were all buff 17-year-olds. Sam resembled a gymnast, Alex a soccer player, Tommy a football player, and Pete a weightlifter. None weighed less than 180 pounds, Pete topping out at 250.
The four were astonished. Their clothes hadn't torn and they were all handsome. It could definitely be worse.
