So Edwin was on the prowl for a female body.
What he ,and everyone else but law enforcement didn't
know was that about five years earlier a bank robber
a male
had forcibly swapped bodies with a seven year old girl
whom had been in the bank whilst the bank robber was robbing it.
So what had happened was that when the police
surrounding the bank finally burst through the doors they
found a wailing bank robber claiming he was really
the seven year old girl he was pointing at.
Officer O'Malley had said
"Yeah tell that one to the Judge ,Red "
and currently the seven year old girl in the bank robbers
body was in a mental institution for the criminally insame
a few states over.
Officer O'Malley had apologized to the crying little girl
and asked her if she wanted him to take her home to her mommy.
Red Ryan,had stopped the craying and bawling act long enough
to nod 'Yes" and as the Police told Red also sorts of useful
information about police cars,law enforcement tricks
of the trade on the way to ' her' parents Red was listening carefully,his cunning mind already creating all
sorts of new bank robbery schemes,
Since both his old body and this seven year old girl body
had red hair,he was pleased to
learn he was now
Megan 'Red' Wayne ,daughter of some wealthy parents
into neat crime fighting technology that was getting sold to
law enforcement.
Now after seven years Red had been conditioned and reformed
by the long stay in a female body and as a 12 year old
girl hitting her puberty and growth spurt
'he' was really a she in memories,personality and female
drives.
She also happened to be a secret Chair Woman of a organization
that played both sides of criminality.
And a student at the high school where Edwin was at.
So no,Red had absolutely no interest in swapping bodies with
Edwin when he approached her.
Too much to loose.
However three seconds before the Criminal Masterminfd Girl Wonder decked the creep
she realized her dads company had a gizmo called
the "Swap Cloning Ten Thousand "
that might do what the mark wanted.
Basically it could clone a swapped body but not clone a unswapped body.
So evilly Megan 'Red' Wayne asked her victim
to meet her at Wayne Industries at midnight ,
She gave him a Company PassKey to get him past the
Security Guard at the parking lot entrance and instructions
on where he'd find her.
So at the appointed hour Edwin lay nervously on the Swp Cloners Platform No 2
and he nervously watched as Red flipped on various dials and twirled levers before she sat herself down on what she called the Master Platform
and pointed to another Platform she called the Duplicating Platform.
The laymans version was that Red's body was going to
be duplicated and Edwins mind swapped into the duplicate

Edwin nervously asked her if her duplicate would possess her mind and personality
a issue if it got swapped into Edwins old body.
Red honestly explained to Edwin she didn't know the answer to that question
this was some cutting edge experimental swap science they were dealing with.

So the Counter wound down and both of them were knocked out as 1 gazillion joules of Swap Cloning machiner did its magic.
Hours passed and when Edwin finally came to 'she' wasn't to surprised that 'she' now had a 12 year old girls body.
'What was troubling was that 'she' wasn't lying on the
Duplicating Platform like' she' aught to have been
but lay stretched out on a floor rug nearby.
The real Megan herself was just coming to but there was no sign
of Edwin's old body on the Platform it should still have been lying on.
Red herself was sharper then the new Edwin and quickly rushed back to the Control Console and was shocked to note the
DRAINED POWERCELLS light flashing at her.
Her Uncle Otis,the genius behind the gizmo had told her one clone/swapping cycle couldn't drain the powercells.
Edwin went to join her,for the first time
getting used to walking on a body
with widening hips and puberty.
Basically there were now a unknown number of Edwin bodies out there with
criminal/no minds at all running around
