‘Oh my god, I’m a toy!’ Alice mentaly yelled. She was stuck yelling mentaly as her mouth was now simply molded plastic stuck in a permanent smile. ‘It turned me into a toy, this isn’t possible.’ She continued bringing her hands up to see them each movement she made was performed in a jerky half-step and accompanied by a soft ‘click’ or ’clack’ from her now transformed body.
‘This isn’t my body.’ She says looking as her hands and arms in dismay. Her hands were still stuck out in a karate chop pose, her arms were now painted plastic. She felt so alien, so strange, any no way to change herself back.
‘It’s too high to reach, and I’ll never climb in this clunky body.’ She thought as she took a few steps. Her knees bent and raised up as if marching in high step at a parade, even though she didn’t want them to. She turned and looking through the now giant sized room, marveling at how everything looked so different from this perspective. She saw something on the floor behind one of the wheels of her desk chair. It was only after marching from one end of the desk to the other that she realized the thing she had been looking at was her phone!
‘It must have slipped out of my pocket when I changed!’ She realized. ‘I can call for help, I…. wait….” she said raising a hand to touch her permanently smiling face. ‘I can’t call anyone because I can’t speak!’ She gasped. Can the keys even work?’
She bent over at the waist and had a momentary sensation of falling over. Her toy body allowed her to bend over to perfectly ninety degrees from her legs. ‘That is so weird.’ she said looking down at the phone and gasped.
The reason for the gasp was the sight of her reflection in the glass. Instead of her normal soft features, the eternally smiling toy stared back at her. The lips red as arose and the cheats painted to match. The hat was taller than she realized, stuck to her head as if it were as much a part of her as the plastic hair was now. In all she simply had to take a moment and see how ridiculous she now looked.
‘With the rosy cheeks and lips and this silly stupid uniform painted on I look like I’m one rubber nose away from being a clown.’ She realized. ‘Nothing fit that. I can worry about how silly I look when I’m back to being a human.’ She stated and reached down to press on the phone. To her relief it turned on! Her transformed hand could still press the buttons.
‘And now I can text someone to come turn my back!’she said happily entering a number by memory. But who to text?
