Flynn awoke under the shadow of a lone tree, out in an open field. The grass was short and green and there was a cool breeze. Flynn definitely didn't remember going to sleep here - he living in a normal home like most people! Startled, the 23 year old almost cried out when he noticed a small envelope by his side, stamped with red wax.
"Flynn,
Welcome, you have been chosen to traverse this world! Don't ask why, but you've been chosen for a special reason. If you want to leave this place it's simple, just head due north, following the glowing star in the sky. This world is unlike your world, and the longer you remain in here the more you will change to suit this world. As long as you follow the star you will be able to return to your normal life. Please note you will remain here until that happens, regardless of what changes befall you.

Flynn was speechless, this had to be some sort of joke right!? Unfortunately there was no sign of human life anywhere as far as he could see. Maybe the letter is right?
Flynn decided to follow the directions. Thankfully he was a decently fit lad, however the warnings about changes worried him.
Flynn followed the strange red star in the sky for about 5 minutes - it was strange how a red star was shining so brightly in broad daylight. Finally, Flynn saw something on the horizon, some trees - a forest! There was a large forest in the way. Although it wasn't too dark the trees did cast quite a lot of shadows inside the forest. Flynn gulped.
As Flynn began to venture deeper, he noticed some sharp brambles twisting around the trees. The brambles quickly grew dense, until Flynn was stopped by a large tangle of brambles. Flynn was left to ponder how to pass these brambles...
