While there were still plenty of humans coming to Animalia to get themselves converted for various reasons, there were plenty of people bringing their pets there for uplifting. In fact, it was becoming a popular thing for show dogs who have had a long career and are at the age for putting out to pasture to be brought to Horizon Labs. That was the case when Dmitri brought his prized Russian wolfhound to Horizon Labs. Dmitri actually knew Mr. and Mrs. Nozdrin who were able to help him out with paying for the uplifting, rubles being hard to convert to American dollars sometimes. As such, they asked Elly to meet up with Dmitri as Horizon Labs.
Elly met with Dmitri in Horizon Lab's greeting room. Walking next to him was a magnificent Russian wolfhound. Unlike some other breeds, there is no standard coloration for the Russian wolfhound. This particular dog had a mostly red coat, though the underside, paws, and tip of the tail were white, not unlike a collie. The wolfhound was very well-behaved, though she seemed curious about Elly.
"Elly, good to see you again," said Dmitri, "I haven't seen you since you were this big." He held a hand at about halfway down his chest.
"Well, I'm certainly bigger than that," said Elly.
"You were bigger than that before becoming a rhino, I hear," said Dmitri.
"Well, yes. But being a rhino balanced things out," said Elly. Before, her breasts dwarfed most of her body, even if she was taller than average. As an Animalian, things were far more balanced, even if she was still top-heavy.
"You are looking very well now," said Dmitri.
"Thanks. And you've got a very nice-looking dog," said Elly. She held out a hand to the borzoi. She flinched back a bit, but she didn't bite. After letting her sniff her hand, Elly carefully petted her head. She was well aware that she could crush the dog's skull if she was too rough.
"Yes, Anastasia is truly the best of her breed," said Dmitri, "There are so many dogs lucky enough to have been her pups."
"That's a rather fancy name for a borzoi," said Elly.
"She's not just any borzoi," said Dmitri, "Her lineage goes back to the hounds of the Romanov family."
Elly tilted her head and said, "I would have thought those dogs would have been killed with the rest of the family."
"They nearly died out after the revolution," said Dmitri, "The borzois were considered too 'aristocratic' and wolf hunting had fallen out of fashion. Fortunately, there have been enough borzois that they've been able to make a comeback."
"And now Anastasia is going to retire here?" asked Elly.
"More like start a new life," said Dmitri, "I think she can do rather well in that Modeling School, eh?"
"Well, I've never been in there. But I think I can imagine her as a model," said Elly.
"Well then, let's get her uplifted," said Dmitri.

Anastasia ended up looking rather well after her uplifting. She was noticeably less bulky than most double-dosed Animalians, though that may have to do with the slender physique of the borzoi. But she was rather pleased with the results. "I always wondered what it would be like to live like a human," she said. It was little surprise that Anastasia was fluent in both English and Russian.
"Of course, there's still a lot to learn about the world," said Elly.
"That is what the school is for, right?" asked Anastasia.
"The Worldwide School of Animalia," said Elly, "You'll have to go there first before you can go to the Modeling School. Or at the very least be enrolled in the first to work in the latter after school."
"This school won't be as simple as obedience school, will it?" asked Anastasia.
"Afraid not," said Elly, "Human life is more complicated, but there are plenty of perks."
"I can already see some of them," said Anastasia, looking at her new hands. "Is there some place I can have my nails done? I think I am due for a trim."
Elly just sighed. Anastasia was definitely going to become one of those prima types. She just hoped the Modeling School will be ready for her.
