“Hey Jackie, I’m gonna head out. Some broad wants to meet up to study calculus. Bet I can get laid if I play my cards right!”, said Ken, throwing on a shirt. It was a tank top with a sports team logo on the front, showing off his new muscular build quite comfortably, nothing left to the imagination.
“Uh, sure.” Said Jack, not happy to be called Jackie by his asshole roommate. “Have fun, I guess.” Ken gave him a thumbs up and stepped out the door. As soon as he was down the hall I spoke up, ready to prod more wishes out of Jack. “Are you satisfied with Ken as your roommate now?” I asked, well aware that he still had his annoyances.
“No!” exclaimed Jack. “Now he’s just an asshole who can get his way because he’s hot and fit!”
“Well, you know you can do anything about that, master.” I said, pushing him along to make another wish.
“You’re right. I wish that Ken was more mature and didn’t waste his time chasing women.”
I rubbed my hands together, ready to improve Ken right according to Jack’s wishes. Time rewinded a few seconds as Jack made his new wish: “You’re right. I wish that Ken was OLDER, GAY, AND more mature and didn’t waste his time chasing women.”
As before, the effect was immediate. Ken’s side of the room was immaculately laid out, with everything neatly arranged and put away. Even though Jack was a neat person, in comparison he looked like the messy roommate now. He heard a rattling of the door, and in walked his roommate.
This new Ken was borderline unrecognizable from the man who had left earlier. He was very smartly dressed, in khakis and a form fitting button down shirt, tucked in to show off his leather belt. A pair of glasses adorned his face, which sported a smart mustache and looked much more mature. His muscular body was clearly visible but not as on display as before. He walked in and sighed, sitting on his neatly made bed. “A student told me that she wanted tutoring, but it turns out she only wanted to meet up for sex. I’m not interested in women, and even if I were I’m far too busy with my graduate research.”
Jack chuckled, “Yeah, that kind of sucks, doesn’t it.”
Ken smirked, “Of course. And now I’m out tutoring money too. Would’ve been nice to make another fifty dollars, but I’ll make do. What are you up to today?”
“Nothing in particular, just lectures. I wish I didn’t have to worry about classes.”
I smirked at Jack as he realized that he had just made a wish as time started to rewind yet again.
