Luke and Alex eyed each other, as if both asking what they were supposed to do. Luke looked down at his...? Alex's...? their...? little brother and sister, realizing that they had their names stitched into the onesie.
"Jesse and Monica." He smiled a little as Alex looked at him, for once not wanting to strangle him. She then shook her head, realizing they were still crying.
"So.... You know how to get them to stop. I've never had to deal with a baby.... Gah! Babies before." Luke looked at her nodding, noticing a change in tone from her.
"Yeah. I have a baby cousin. I can walk you through it." Soon enough, Luke and Alex had lifted their brother and sister out of the crib, and gently placed the babies to where their heads were over their right shoulder, Luke's shoulder, and gently rocked them until both finally settled down. It took Luke a second to realize it, but he looked over to Alex, a bit surprised. "I think we actually managed to work together." Alex eyed him, sighing.
"Yeah.... I guess we did." As they carefully placed Jesse and Monica back in their crib, the body mates realized Suzie and Johnny were still arguing over what swimsuit to wear. They looked at each other, then both nodded as they walked in. What they saw was the younger pair looking over their shoulders and arguing about not wanting to wear the others swimsuit. Luke just shook his head while Alex face palmed.
"Suzie, Johnny? Why are you even arguing about this," Luke asked, with Alex soon echoing him.
"Yeah. Last I checked you're only attached at the rear. You have your own bodies at least." She then looked at the swimsuits, sighing when it looked like they could be worn at the same time. "Why argue?"
"His is stupid."
"Hers is stupid." Luke did his best to put a hand on both shoulders, and tried not to look annoyed.
"Hey. Do you see me complaining about Alex's nerd shirt?" He was awarded with a crossed look from Alex for the analogy. "Pretty sure you two can just wear your swimsuit and your trunks together. Ok?" The two siblings sighed, taking their individual pieces of swimwear.
"Ok." Alex then eyed her brother.
"Johnny?" He finally seemed to relent.
"Fine.... Let's get changed."
As their siblings went to change, Luke and Alex began to walk back into the living room. On the way, Luke looked over at Alex. "So. Think we can last a week?" She looked back, smiling a bit before looking forward again.
"Maybe."
