It was Sunday, and John was eager to have one last day of fun before having to head back to work on the morrow, and considering he hadn't hung out with his brother for what felt like days, John was eager to hang out with him. Over the eight hours that they'd slept, two years had been exchanged, bringing John out of his thirties and making him 29, while bringing Simon up to 27.
"Hey Simon, hope Kim and I weren't too loud for ya," said John with a cocky smirk as he took a seat to sip his morning coffee.
"I'd heard newlyweds were bad, but fuck I'd thought you'd have gotten it out of your fill on the honeymoon," said Simon as he took the coffee pot and poured himself a cup of coffee.
"Someone's jealous," teased John before sipping his coffee again and adopting a slightly more serious tone, "Look, I know between Kim, the honeymoon, and us having our different schedules, we really haven't had time to really hang out like brothers should... so I thought we could make that up today. What do you say?"
Simon took a long swig of his coffee, deciding to draw out the moment before saying "Sure. How about we grab our rods and head down to the lake?" After lugging around boxes at the warehouse he worked at yesterday, he was ready for some kind of relaxing activity he could kick back and drink a few beers over.
"I was thinking more along the lines of heading to Tipton Tops," said John, and Simon almost groaned inwardly. Of course John would want to go rock climbing. The lucky bastard sat behind a desk most days, not sweating his ass off in a grimy warehouse.
"Only if you're driving," said Simon with a sigh.
They arrived and suited up for a climb up a tower, John climbing up eagerly and quickly, finding it invigorating. Simon meanwhile was feeling more tired and achy than usual, and while he wasn't struggling on the climb up, he wasn't zipping up like John was. By the time they broke for lunch, John and Simon now thought of themselves as fraternal twin brothers, as both had averaged out to the age of 28. By the time they left "The Tops" a further four hours later, Simon for the first time in the transformation was now the elder of the two, having been convinced to "humor" his little brother on an excursion out to rock climb. Little things soon became noticeable to Simon. He now owned the car that they'd driven in, and was the one with a desk job, while John now complained of working at the warehouse--though his workouts had kept him in good enough shape to do it and stay ahead of getting exhausted from being on concrete ten hours a day.
When they arrived back at the house, Kim was waiting and came over to give Simon a kiss instead of John. Simon suddenly remembering that he and Kim had just decided to live together while she was still recovering from her divorce. John meanwhile had lingered in the yard, talking to Amy, the girl nearly ten years his junior and far too young for him, though that didn't keep the young and horny John from trying. Simon had to break up the outright flirtation between the two and drag John back into the house with a comment of how bad his BO had gotten.
By the end of the night, John now was where Simon had been the day before, 25, believing he was the younger brother dating Amy, and saving his money up for a place of his own. Simon meanwhile had become Kim's husband, and it was there and then that the little notices of things being off suddenly turned into alarm bells when he and Kim went to bed that night. Some small distant part of Simon still remembered the Chronivac and the change he had instituted, and that small part suddenly burst forth to remind Simon that the grown woman his new memories was telling him was his wife and kissing him on the lips as she worked at his clothes was actually his biological mother. And a suddenly Simon was forced to confront that if he allowed things to continue, he'd likely be committing biological incest.
