Ethan walked with his fifteen-year-old nephew up to his front door. When he opened the door, he noticed movement at the top of the stairs, and was surprised at who he saw walking down. His son Luke was wearing a large holiday sweater with his friends Mark, Max, and Zack--a sweater with holes for four heads. With all four of them in the one sweater, they were six feet across at the shoulders. For a moment, he thought the four teens were still fused together despite his orders for them to separate before he got home, even though their legs and waists were visible and all looked to be separate. Needless to say, Evan was a bit surprised by the sight as well.
"Hey, cous," Evan greeted Luke.
"Hey, Evan," Luke smiled. "You remember my friends, right?"
"Yeah," Evan replied. "Hey guys. Hey Zack."
"Good to see you again, Evan," said Zack.
The four teens reached the bottom of the stairs and stood before Ethan and Evan. Ethan was worried that Evan might freak out, and was quietly hoping that Evan would think it was just a costume or something, and that none of the teens really were sharing a body underneath the sweater.
"Nice sweater," Evan smiled. "I didn't know you owned one of those Together Sweaters."
"I do now," Luke said as looked towards his dad. It did not take long for Ethan to remember Luke's closet and how this whole story began.
"Do you mind if I try it for a second to see how it feels?" Evan asked. Ethan grew worried for a moment.
"Not at all," Luke replied. "You guys don't have a problem with one of you getting out for a second, do you?"
None of the three brothers objected, and Mark decided that Evan could take his place between his twin brother Max and younger brother Zack. Mark slipped his head down inside the sweater as he bent down to come out the bottom. As he did so, he lifted up the sweater's waist, revealing to Ethan that he, his brothers, and Luke were indeed separated. This put Ethan more at ease, and he relaxed as Evan slipped in between Max and Zack to poke his head through the open hole. Now the quad's heads from their left-hand to right were Zack, Evan, Max, and Luke.
"Remember when we used to wonder what it would be like to be conjoined?" Zack asked his friend.
"Yeah," Evan replied. "It feels good."
"Maybe after you unpack and get settled upstairs, we can try this again later," said Luke. "You'd probably like to unpack as soon as possible."
"You're right," Evan agreed. "We can pick this up again later, Zack."
With that, Evan and Mark swapped back, and Evan gathered his things to take upstairs to the guest bedroom.
