Gloria smiled as her friends now settled onto the couch. School had been going well for the teens as High School continued, the girls had settled into a quiet routine of magic practice and high school activities. For Halloween the girls were now settling in for an evening of scary movies and popcorn.
“You sure you don’t want to come trick or treating with us Gloria,” Lisa asked. Gloria turned, smiling at her parents and sister. Jason and Lisa were meeting up with Samantha and Mike to take their daughters out of their first Halloween. The infant Lynne was now dressed in a unicorn one piece suit complete with a hood and fabric horn. “I’m sure mom,” Gloria said happily. “Kind of want to have some time with the girls, but take lots of pictures of Lynne and Tricia for me.”
“I can guarantee that,” Lisa smiled. “Don’t stay up too late. Don’t want a repeat of last year.” Gloria giggled assuring her parents she wouldn’t as they now left the house. “Glad we decided on a quiet night,” Sasha sighed as Gloria now sat down. Gloria could only nod in agreement, after last years party a quiet girls night was definitely in order. Turning towards her friends she could see Felicia chatting with Diane while Naomi now began searching for a scary movie. The only one that seemed withdrawn was Jackie who was busy texting on her cellphone. Sasha frowned as she saw this, stomping over towards Jackie and quickly snatching it away.
“I thought we had an understanding here Jackie,” she grumbled. “No texting our boyfriends or girlfriends.”
“I was just saying goodnight and finalizing our plans for next weekend,” Jackie whined. “I don’t get on your case about calling Riley.”
Gloria sighed as Sasha and Jackie now began to argue. Jackie had been like this for awhile now, always texting and messaging Ann. Anytime anyone would say anything she would lash out and question them about their relationships. “Jackie this is a girls night,” she sighed. “No boyfriends or significant others remember.”
“Doesn’t seem fair,” Jackie mumbled. “I mean Diane and Naomi get to hangout.”
“Because their friends of others you yutz,” Sasha moaned. “Look Nate And Riley are hanging out together and Adam is doing something with the football team. We agreed on a girls night so will you chill out and have some fun with us.”
Jackie exhaled, nodding as she now forced a smile. As Gloria was about to say something, a knock at her door drew her attention. “Must be some trick or treaters,” she said. Turning towards her friends she gave them a steely glance. “No boyfriends or girlfriends Jackie, tonight we have fun.” Jackie nodded in agreement as Gloria now opened the door, surprised by who she now saw on her doorstep.
“Hi Gloria,” Mia said happily. “Trick or treat.”
“Mia,” Gloria said in surprise. “What are you doing here?” Gloria stared in surprise as the young witchling was accompanied by Zack, who had used his powers to turn into a werewolf of child sized proportions. As always the two were accompanied by Ayami and Rexie, both demons had assumed their teenage girl appearances and appeared quite grumpy to be out trick or treating. “How did you even crossover into this timeline?”
“A new spell,” Mia whispered, a small smirk on her face. “I asked the other Merlin to teach me. Amazingly he said yes but I couldn’t share it with Ayami or Rexie.” Gloria’s friends now joined her at her front door, shocked to see the young witchling and her demon friends in this timeline. “Whoa Mia,” Felicia stated in surprise. “This is unexpected, what made you stop here?”
Mia smirked, glancing around impishly as she leaned closer to Gloria and her friends. “Well I may not know a lot about other timelines,” she whispered. “But I do know they move a bit differently and that’s when it hit me. Me and Zack could have two Halloween’s and twice the candy.”
Gloria chuckled softly, double candy could definitely be a appealing to a couple of 10 year olds. Reaching into her candy bowl Gloria now dropped several treats into Zack and Mia’s bags. “Pretty smart their Mia,” she grinned. “Happy Halloween.”
“Mia why don’t you ask them,” Zack said quickly. “Ask us what Zack,” Diane asked curiously.
“Well,” Mia said sheepishly. “Zack wanted to know if you guys would be interested in going trick or treating with us?”
“I think we’re a bit old for trick or treating,” Diane chuckled. Mia smirked, pointing to Gloria’s ring. “You don’t have to be,” she smiled. “Why don’t you use your ring and join me and Zack. I can use my magic to give you guys costumes, Cmon it will be fun.”
“What about those two,” Sasha asked, narrowing her eyes as she eyed the succubus and imp. “Rexie And Ayami are just going to watch us,” Mia said happily. “They won’t let anything happen to us or do anything to you if your worried.”
“Yeah Ayami promised she wouldn’t do anything to get anyone trouble,” Zack said sincerely. “She promised me and she never breaks her promise.”
“Really,” Naomi said, somewhat stunned. The succubus sighed heavily, her shoulders slumping as she looked the group of teens over. “Yeah I made a promise,” she grumbled. “Zack and Mia made us swear an oath before we came here. We can’t harm any of you while we’re here.” Gloria and her friends smiled as they looked at eachother, perhaps this wouldn’t be such a quiet Halloween after all.
