Dan figured it was better for him at this rate if he had a wider array of sight of what was going on, but it would take some significant getting used to. After he was done drinking up his water, he felt significantly better off. This was above and beyond! He'd never had water just taste so good before. He started surveying his surroundings, and the panoramic view plus his more intense sense of smell left him absolutely at awe of...just about everything.
However he could detect some other suspicious noises off in the distance, not even having to turn to look.
He figured even if it was just another animal, it never hurt to be careful. Dan thus fired up his wings again, starting to feel hungry at this rate but deciding he could deal with that when he got far enough away. Due to how far away he was already, he didn't need to be as completely careful. His wings buzzing, Dan got a running start and flew off, enjoying the wind on his exoskeleton as he headed further from civilization.
He knew he needed a place to relax, somewhere he could just eat and deal with what was happening to him as the hits came. He almost felt a sense of worry with how much he was taking to this, but he told himself he was just dealing with events as they came. He'd definitely try and make that sister of his turn him back sooner or later.
As he reached a more mountainous area, he landed and smelled the air, loving the scents on the air and the more empty location - another stream nearby, which he guessed would be a local wildlife hub. Dan decided to make that his hub as well. His mind started to wander to how such activities as sleep and eating would work like this. He needed to figure that kind of stuff out here and now.
