Despite the surprisingly working electricity, the lounge area was still dark. From what Chris could see it was fairly old fashioned. One wall was a row of bookshelves. There was a long, red found on the left too. What took Chris interest the most was a very large lounge chair. Chris couldn’t help but smile at the giant top the man, definitely 7ft tall, who owned the chair.
Chris turned to the fireplace and lobbed a few logs from a wooden box filled with timber. He then pulled out a lighter from his pocket and managed to start a small fire. In a short time, thanks to a slightly embarrassing childhood in the scouts, the fire was well tended to, and the fireplace was roaring. Smiling, Chris took a step back.
“Now where’s Joel..” He wondered.
However, something caught his attention above the fireplace.
Standing on the mantle was a creature. Some powerful beast overlooking the room, staring intently at Chris. As he made eye contact with the wooden carving, a pleasant sensation trickled down his frame. Something stirred within Chris, something ancient in his blood.
