“I am becoming a FURRY!!!” yelled Mary at the top of her lungs as she looked at her paperwork.
“Yes, all of you are becoming a type of monster we call Furrys.” Explained the Doctor “It is sort of a catch all for a large group of monsters with similar traits, a large mixture of human and different animals to form a hybrid.”
“I thought you said we where becoming different monsters how can we be all be furrys and that be true?” inquired Mrs. Maxwell not looking at her file.
“I am becoming a deer man.” Said their eldest son John as everyone looked at him, he didn’t say anything more just looking at his file. He was looking at the second page which showed the outline of a male figure only he had hooves for feet and two antlers coming out of the top of the head, the face was also changed to a more deer like shape and their was a tail as well.
“Yes, he is becoming a deer.” Explained the Doctor as Mary flipped her page and looked at the detail of herself
“Female Kitsune.” Announced Mary as she looked at the outline of a female fox hybrid with a large tail and pointed ears. It could be worse, she knew but she didn't have to like it. Swimming with fur and a tail would be hard but she wasn't becoming something horrible.
“Male Fawn.” Answered Noah as he looked at the goat like creature with horns coming out of his head.
“Male Raccoon.” Answered his twin brother Lucas
“Bunny girl.” Added the youngest Jennifer
Then it was the parents turn and they both stopped and looked at the paper again.
“I am…becoming a Cat woman.” answered their father
“I am becoming a wolf man.” answered their mother as both of them faced the idea of changing genders something their children didn’t have to face.
The following hour was spent going over the details, because of their fur covered body it would be legal for them to go around in the nude and for the most part a lot of furrys did with only a belt to wear a pouch for wallets and the like. As herbivores both Jennifer and John would no longer be able to eat meat and every year John would grow and then loss his horns. That took special care when they grew in. Noah as a fawn didn’t have to follow the vegetarian orders but it was recommended. It was the opposite for Mary and their parents as meat eaters it was recommended that they took in more meat and didn’t eat vegetables.
They also explained that the test only gave them a general outline, John could become a normal white tail deer or an elk or something else but it would be in the deer family. Same for Mary, it could be a red fox or an arctic fox impossible to know until the change. The type of Cat and Wolf their parents where becoming was also in the air and could range from a tabby cat to a Lioness and a dog to a timber wolf. Only time would tell.
Finally they where given a time table, they would have to report to the center in two weeks, the change for a furry took a week and then they recommended a week to adjusted either at the center or at home depending on what they wanted. Finally, they walked out and loaded into the large SUV which was required to fit them all. They sat there in the parking lot not moving for the longest time.
“We are going to make one strange family.” Noted Mary as her father started the SUV and headed out of the lot.
