After the transformation, James just… went back to his apartment.
What else could he do? Run around bawling about his lost penis? Protest? Off himself? He wasn’t the only one who had changed their gender so it felt unnecessary. James figured he could just wait until the entire thing blew over.
He did call his parents, though, and found out they had changed to some sort of mages too, though their change wasn’t as drastic as his. James told them he was fine and promised to keep in touch with his mother in case he needed any help adjusting.
Though at least he wasn’t alone in having to deal with being a girl. Within his apartment he lived with three other guys, all of whom had changed gender after the wave passed through them. They were friends though none of them would call each other close friends, but they did happen to be in related fields for their majors.
There was Sam, the one James was the closest to within the group. He had changed gender sure, but unlike James didn’t remain human and instead was now some sort of fantasy cat girl, complete with the ears and tail. His ginger hair had turned black, matching the color of his ears and tail. He had a lot less of figure when compared to James, but certainly one could deny that he was cute and his bust was still fairly large, though not as large as James's.
The next one was Arnold, who had changed into a female angel, complete with pure white in wings and a bright halo, which Arnold complained constantly about, since it was apparently hard to sleep with it always glowing. There had been an amusing moment where Sam had attempted to pull the halo away from her head, but Arnold reacted as though Sam was pulling her arm. Her bust and figure was just an iota beneath James's looking the part of a girl who was pure and naïve of the world around hjm. Which didn’t fit Arnold since he swore like a sailor.
The final one was Christian who had changed the most drastically, becoming a centauress. Apparently when he changed, he had donned a suit of armor, which was currently sitting in one of the closets. His legs had been replaced by a mare's with a light blonde body and a dirty blonde tail. The horse half transitioned smoothly into the waist of a young woman with golden hair and a princess-like face. His chest was far larger than James's and he even had a six-pack. Christian had been an exercise nut, but even he constantly complained about the weight of his chest.
Their possessions had also been changed through the wave, as James found some of his belongings had changed into spell tomes and crystal balls. However other things didn’t change, like their cell phones and the television. In fact, a lot of the technology they were used to were still around, which allowed them to keep track with current world events, since the world was basically in chaos at the moment. The president of the USA had come to deliver a speech where it was revealed he had been transformed into a female body of a lithe high elf about half his original age, which led to some speculation that he may be kicked from office for being too young.
The four roommates just stayed within their apartment waiting for anything to improve. They had enough food to last them for a few weeks, so hopefully things improved by then.
