Of course, it doesn't work like that. The four roommates, and the rest of the world, had been transformed into archetypes, and that included behavior as well as body. James's new identity was "sultry sorceress," not "passive couch potato."
As the day progressed, the new sorceress found herself increasingly possessed of two new desires. The first was the desire to do magic. The first time the new sorceress instinctively performed a finger gesture to warm her coffee mug, she felt a charge of satisfaction, like this was what she was meant to be doing. The coffee tasted better than coffee ever had before.
The second new desire was to find an attractive man--some of the barbarian warriors she had seen on TV seemed like possibilities--and screw the living daylights out of him. What rotten luck that all of her roommates were now female, although she suspected Sam the catgirl shared her new female desires, although Arnold the angel probably didn't.
"Sam" said James "Let's go for a walk, see what's out there in the man department."
