It was supposed to be a safe flight. Everybody tells you how plane flights are safer than cars and statistics, bla bla bla.
But when the lights go off in the plane, the red safety lights go on and the voice on the intercom tells you about turbulence, statistics aren't going to help you.
And that is exactly what happened, except not just that. Outside the window you could see rainbow coloured lightning and some people said something about birds flying backwards. Should there even be birds at this altitude? The land and sky switched places and eventually everybody fell unconcious.
At least that's what people pieced together when they woke up. That and the fact that they miraculously survived. The plane was just lying there, in the middle of a meadow. People woke up in their seats like nothing had happened, panic made way for confusing which returned to panic soon after. The board crew and captain somehow managed to keep people relatively calm. Emergency escapes were deployed and everybody got one of those yellow slide rides you know from movies.
Though now you are all outside the metal bird, but still in some green meadow in bumfuck nowhere. Okay, so there's some kinda mountains to the north. Some hiker dude had a compass with them, so that was helpful. A forest to the east and more grasslands to the south and west.
Of course nobody had cellphone reception, even though this looked like a place that shouldn't be too far from civilization. Well, there were already theories floating around, what with the strange sightings, everybody falling unconcious and not to speak of somehow landing a plane on rock, grass and earth without so much as a scratch. The next shock came at nighttime though, because in the sky were not one, but two moons.
That confirmed one of the theories. This was not earth and the entire plane somehow got teleported here. Some said this wasn't even our universe, because why would it? So the chance of some resue party arriving are basically non-existant, which also explains why the next morning some people left. Others wanted to get their (or somebodies) stuff from the cargo, so they worked on a plan to somehow get access to that.
