James admitted to herself that what Demelza had done made a lot of sense. She was female now--"James" just didn't fit the new her. She needed a name that was both female--no, let's face it, she giggled, not just female but girly--and magical. "Call me Lorelei now"she asked her friends "or Lori for short."
The new magical world was a sight to behold. Minotaurs, dwarves, elves, catpeople and numerous other species, including a dragon flying overhead. Lorelei and her friends had seen it on TV, but being immersed in the new world was something else. "Yum" muttered Lorelei as a handsome barbarian warrior clad only in a loincloth walked by. Arnold rolled her eyes.
When she was James, he had been predominantly straight, but hooked up with guys on occasion, particularly when between girlfriends, as he had been when the Fantasy Wave hit. Lorelei decided to check in on Clint, a longtime fuckbuddy--maybe he was a cute hunky female-attracted guy now. Since Clint hadn't answered his phone, she was also worried about him.
Christian had run into a centaur group and broke off to join them. It was easy to tell that she would not be eager to be cramped in an apartment again. Everything Lorelei knew about centaurs was that they preferred to live under the open sky.
Lorelei, Demelza and Arnold reached Clint's small house and rang the doorbell.
