"We need to get to the car now." Laura said, a hint of urgency in her voice as she put the dice in the box and began to walk towards the door.
"Right, but isn't it getting kind of late?" Kaitlin asked as she got her keys and headed in the same direction.
"Do you really want to find out what the dice are enchanted to do if we leave them alone for too long? I sure as hell don't." Laura proclaimed as she left the office and walked towards the adjoining parking lot.
"Wait for me! It's really slippery out-" Kaitlin said as she also came out of the building and locked the door. She turned around and froze when she saw her friend slip on the wet pavement and the box go flying out of her grip. Hoping for the best, as the box hadn't opened, she began to walk towards Laura when she heard a mysterious voice seemingly come from nowhere.
"Twenty five and Thirty Nine years you have walked this Earth, now these numbers are but Sixteen and Thirty. Each roll will return what you have lost."
"Oh shit." Laura said as she stood up in clothes that were now too big for her.
"Oh shit is right! I told you to wait for me! But did you listen? Nooo." Kaitlin said, picking up the box with one hand and gesturing to her now shorter friend with the other one.
"Kaitlin, you're sounding like my mom. Stop it!" Laura said, rolling her sleeves up so they didn't look so ridiculous.
"What are you talking about, I don't sound like your mother! Oh." Kaitlin said, a small amount of fear appearing in her eyes, as she hadn't even realized what was going on there.
"As I said earlier, we need to get there soon." Laura said as she got in the open car.
"Right." Kaitlin said, shaking off her shock as she got in the car and started driving.
