"Wait a minute," said my mom. "I've got a GREAT idea! One that should save us a lot of aggravation."
"Aggravation? What are you talking about?" asked Lily.
"Before I left to have my baby, Lucille and I had been talking about an ad campaign for our new fashion lines."
"You mean the outfits for girls and infants? OH!"
Lily apparently understood what my mother was thinking, but I was still a few steps behind.
"Joe," said my mom. "Is Ms. Barnes a baby in her mind, or is she an adult?"
"I'm not sure," I said. "I think she's an adult. I wanted her to 'appreciate' what I did to her."
"So, if we told her to do something while she's still a baby," said Lily, "She could understand and do it?"
I nodded my head. And my mother clapped her hands and laughed, waking Ms. Barnes.
"A baby model that can understand directions and pose as we tell her to!"
The baby looked up at her daughter's face, trying to understand what was going on.
"You hear that, Mom?" said Lily. "You're going to be a fashion model again!"
"But that's not all we could do," said my mother.
