Jacob Porter was a 16-year-old sophomore at Lincoln High. Average height and skinny as a rail, he'd never expressed interest in athletics. Instead, he'd focused on writing, which was why he had joined the school newspaper crew as a freshman. The editor, a senior boy named Owen, liked him and gave him good assignments, and told him he could be editor himself someday. Jacob was eager to please and excited at that thought.
So Owen knew exactly who to assign when he heard rumors that boys all over the school were being cornered by a couple of football players, and then joining and changing into players themselves. It didn't take a genius to know sonething was up, and he asked Jacob to see what he could find out. Perhaps there was a scandal waiting to break. That would boost readership like nothing else.
Jacob soon learned that 2 of his classmates and friends, Carter and George, were among those accosted by the jocks, Pete and Liam. They told him that they had been told to meet the players in the locker room at 5 that evening. Jacob decided to hide himself inside the room to so he could witness it firsthand.
That evening, Jacob was safely closed inside an unused locker, but the door crack was just big enough for him to see all the assembled players, plus Carter and George. He saw Pete and Liam leading the group, along with a couple other classic jocks.
But then he recognized a few more and was stunned. There was little Timmy, the freshman who lived across the street from him! Except he wasn't little Timmy, the 5 foot 90-pound weakling, anymore. Now he was 5'10" and 250 pounds, a brawny guy who barely fit into the #65 jersey he was wearing but was also handsome with his crow-black hair and cupidish features.
And there was Sam, who Jacob knew as the nerdiest senior, 6'0 and 125 pounds. But now he was 6'6" and closer to 325 pounds, muscles bulging under his #72 jersey and his blond hair framing a gorgeous face that had not been like that before.
Jacob was shocked. Then he saw Carter and George in the middle, as Pete and Liam handed them drinks that looked like Gatorade and told them to drink the entire thing. So he watched as his friends chugged the drinks and threw away the bottles.
Then an astonishing thing began to happen. It started with George, who was 5'10" and 140 pounds. Jacob watched as his friend doubled over, clutching his stomach and groaning. His back seemed to grow, both longer and wider, until Jacob could see the bunched up muscles underneath the shirt. George's pants were also becoming molded to his growing thighs and calves. What Jacob could see of his skin darkened in a tan.
When George stood up, he was about 6'2" tall and probably 220 pounds. His striped shirt looked painted on to him, showing off large pecs, washboard abs, broad shoulders, thick neck, and bulging arms. Along with his thicker legs, Jacob could see a distinct bulge by George's crotch. His face was more handsome than the rest, his black hair was short and in a stylish cut, and his small smile let show a few pearly white straight teeth.
Carter, who had started at 5'6" and 130 pounds, had changed even more. Now he was 6'5" and about 280 pounds of solid muscle. Though he was handsome, thanks to the disappearance of his freckles and the darkening of his hair from bright orange to deep auburn, he wasn't in the same league as George in terms of beauty. He had actually destroyed his clothes.
Pete handed George jersey #42 and Carter jersey #68, while Liam welcomed them to the team as the new quarterback and tight end, respectively.
Jacob waited in shock and terror as the jocks slowly left the room. What had they done to his friends? Seeing no one still around, he slipped out of the locker, grabbed a bottle of the drink they had given George and Carter, and fled.
