Laura sighs and pulls out of of the dice. "Here I can show you!" She throws the die on the ground and waits for the inevitable.
"Nine years you have walked this Earth, now this number is but eight, each roll of the dice shall restore more of what you have lost."
Kaitlin had already turned around to unlock the door with her key card and misses the glowing orbs as Laura feels herself shrink a little more. When Kaitlin turns back around she fails to see the girl is slightly smaller than before.
"Listen I'm sure Laura told you this would be a fun game, but I'm not in the mood to play right now. Tell her I'll be in the office when she's ready to stop goofing off."
Before Laura can say another word Kaitlin steps through the door and lets it fall shut behind her. Laura watches in despair as the lock clicks shut.
