Linda's day was off to a bad start, not only had she already gotten chastised for forgetting to lock the door again. Apparently she also missed some garbage from snack time and forgot to wash one of the training potties. She already was under extra scrutiny as the youngest of staff, these extra mistakes didn't do her any favors. She had already heard jokes about how she acted more like one of the kids than a real staff member going around.
Sighing, she examines the dice she found on that new kid. They were definitely pretty and, judging by the case, probably expensive too. She was about to put them away when she heard a strange voice.
"Linda Smith. The spirit of youth has bonded with you. Each cast of the lots shall return to you what you have lost."
Linda looked around and saw that the room was empty except for her. Curious more than anything, Linda looked at the dice and wondered if they had something to do with that voice. She rolled them on the table.
"12 nice, at least I'm good at something today."
"Eighteen years you have walked this Earth. Now this number is but six. Each roll of the dice returns more of what you have lost."
She stands dumbstruck as glowing orbs surround her. A scream almost comes from her mouth as the room semmingly starts growing. Looking down at her minuscule frame she considers the words. Is she actually six years old now? How is that possible?
"The girl! Laura? She must know something about these. Wait is she supposed to be older too? Either way I need to find her."
