It was still very early in the morning as Marcus and Alice started their shift at the Branch. a time that mostly served to welcome back customers more then greeting them from the main entrance. not that such an event wasn't going to happen today in a way and path they expected least of all.
"so what are we expecting from the changing stalls this week at any time?" Dyed green haired open sports jacket over a red shirt and wreaked jeans and hiking boots wearing Alice asked after getting her ID badge on.
"Let's see" Raven haired orange plad shirt and baige trousers with white sneakers wearing Marcus responded as he looked over this book of temporary transformees still undergoing their trips "mr and mrs Lewis aren't due back until tomorrow. miss Alvin and miss Colins can be expected between Thursday this week or next... and that old bully from your old school... Jenny wasn't it... isn't due back until Wednesday". "middle pair currently testing before going permanent aren't they?" Alice then asked. "but can't until all the right forms are signed and if not back we have to go and have them returned" Marcus agreed.
Just then the door to the shop opened and this brown-haired woman, mid-30s by Alice's guess, covered in a long gray overcoat only exposing the end of her red trousers and worn-black sandals and accompanied by a young girl, 12 years old at least with the same hair colour as the woman but in a pony-tail in a green coat with baggy jeans and black trainers, entered the shop.
"Welcome to the Magic Shop Chain's Branch of Fantasies. how may we help?" Alice kindly inquired. "this the place people can escape from nasty reality to new reality?" the girl asked worry while looking over her shoulder. confusing the employees. "Amanda don't go blurting out such questions like that" the woman insisted quietly yet still hearable by Marcus and Alice. "sorry mum but time is limited" the girl apologised.
Unbeknownst to the pair of employees Amanda and her mother Lisa Darvons were not mere customers but fleeing from some very nasty pressures. see Amanda, while Lisa's natural daughter, unfortunately had a strong resemblance to the wife of a notorious 'self-proclaimed' Muslim who was also publicly respected and rich but secretly a supporter of the 'so-called' chosen leaders of the world's people known to turn the Islamic faith into motive for warfare, his issue being that years ago he promised a daughter to one such leader as a son's bride but both only ended up with sons...
...so chancing upon a girl like Amenda, regardless background he took ample opportunity to assure by hook or by crock he's get his place in the new world order. falsified records, bribed judge, killing several family members Amanda and Lisa could have turned to for help (alongside framing a number to cover the tracks with the bribed judge's help). adding to the frantic escape Amanda and Lisa had to make was the promised in law demanding the wedding (to his late-30s female beating son) right now.
"well... if your aware of how this Branch works-" Alice started. "oh we're aware. at least Amanda is" Lisa assured, Amanda had heard about the place from a teacher at school who took a 'Holiday' trip with the Branch last year who also spoke of some folk she'd met who chose to remain forever. "then you must be aware that contrary to the name this is more a vacation place unless your willing to sign everything here away" Marcus insisted. "mum" Amanda started to plead. "we're willing. just give me the papers and guide us through the process" Lisa demanded.
"Already then" Alice started in concern "what form exactly are you planning on taking?":
