Aaron was the last brother to snap out of his trance. He looked around, wondering what he doing randomly laying on a rock. He tried getting up, but he couldn't and fell right back on the rock.
"Why aren't my legs working? Are they asleep?" Aaron looked at his body to see that, in place of his legs, he had a fishtail from the waist down.
"Huh? What?!" Aaron said, touching around his new tail. "What happened to my legs? I like the crimson color but..."
Aaron's thoughts were interrupted by a girl rising out of the water. "Oh good, you're awake!" She said with a grin.
"Hello, miss. Umm… Why aren't you freaking out right now?" Aaron questioned.
"Because I was the one who changed you into a merman." The girl said.
Aaron scoffed. "Well, sorry to disappoint but I don't believe you. You have no proof."
The merman soon ate his words as Aqua settled her body on a rock and revealed her fishtail to Aaron. He was awed.
"A real mermaid…" He whispered.
She smiled. "The name's Aqua. Pleasure to meet you." Aqua offered her hand to Aaron.
He shook it. "Pleasure to meet you, Aqua. I'm Aaron. " He said calmly.
"You seem to take being a merman surprisingly well. I expected you to be more panicked and freaked out, much like what I heard from your brothers." Aqua said.
Aaron chuckled. "Of course, my younger brothers would freak out. Personally, I grew up on a lot of fantasy books. I watched several mermaid movies… More often than I'd like to admit." Aaron blushed.
Aqua giggled. "No need to be embarrassed. I'm honestly flattered that you're so interested in our kind. It's really warms my heart." She said with a smile that was filled with warmth.
"Yeah…" Aaron said, looking at his flapping tailfins. "I will miss my family, though. Especially my little sister, she's supposed to be born next month."
"Don't worry about it. Your family will eventually make their way to the merkingdom and join you."
"Oh?" Aaron raised a curious eyebrow. "You live around a merkingdom? That sounds wonderful." He looked at his swim trunks, still clinging to the end of his tail, a bit disappointed in himself. "How can a human from such a dull city life on land fit in under a merkingdom society?"
Aqua giggled "First of all, you're a merman now. So you're already halfway there in fitting in." Aqua playfully poked at Aaron's swim trunks. "Second, you'll fit in well with natural born merfolk. Believe it or not, merfolk are also fascinated with humans, just like how humans are fascinated by merfolk. Trust me, you'll be welcomed there if you tell the merpeople about your story." She said with assurance.
Aaron smiled. "Good to know." He began to examine his more muscular upper body, gills, and crimson tail. "Man, you really did a number on my body. It looks like I was swimming my whole life." He said in wonder.
Aqua began to coyly crawl on Aaron's body. "That's because the siren's song turns any man into an ideal mate."
"A mate?" He questioned. "You mean the kind that has sex and makes babies?"
Aqua nodded. "Yup. Your descendants shall live in the ocean and explore the wonders of the deep." The mermaid was now only inches away from her merman's face. "The question is if you're willing to do it."
Aaron looked around. "Well, I honestly never thought about having a family so soon. Much less a family made up of merpeople." His eyes then laid on Aqua. "But if I had to be a father of fish babies, I'd choose you as my mate as well." He said with a smile.
Aqua beamed. "That's so wonderful to hear! Now… You want to kiss?"
Aaron could feel his lips puckering up already. "May this be the first of many."
"Agreed."
The two kissed. For over 5 minutes, neither of them wanted to let go as they explored each other's bodies. Aaron was loving it. Who else could say their first kiss was with a mermaid?
When their lips parted, they looked at each other in admiration.
"A handsome wife for me." Aaron thought as he looked at Aqua.
"A lovely mate for me." Aqua as she looked at Aaron.
Without saying a word, the two slid off their respective rocks. They held helds as Aqua led Aaron to the merkingdom."
