Sitting in a suburban home was a family desktop, which was set up in the living room. While the house was empty, the magical force which once powered the camera of change entered the computer. Its screen flickered, sprouting colors and sounds from its monitor before settling and seemingly returning to normal.
The device was now the computer of change. Its powered merged with that of photoshop, Microsoft word, social media, and even ironically enough the camera function. It had become a device designed for pure transformation fun, able to alter reality along with anyone in any way possible.
There it sat for several hours, until finally the door opened and the family returned, completely unaware of they desktops new power.
"But Dad, that's so not fair!" A 15 year old mixed race girl yelled as she stormed into the house, throwing her purse against a chair.
"It is fair." Her older, caucasian father calmly said walking into the house behind her. "Kylie you're only 15, you cannot be going to stuff that crazy."
"But it's only a freaking party!" She yelled back. "Everyone is going!"
"And if everyone jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?" He asked.
"Arghh!!" She huffed before running upstairs.
"Is everything all right honey?" A black woman around the man's age asked walking in. She was cradling a baby as he was crying in her arms.
"Oh it's fine Tia." He responded with a sigh. "Our daughter is just going through her teenaged rebellious phase."
"Ha. Yeah, I suppose." She forced a laugh. "But be carful, my momma said I was in that phase for way longer than I shoulda been."
"You? Rebellious? You're the sweetest woman I ever met." He laughed.
"I know I know. I guess I got it all out back then." She sighed, finally managing to calm down the infant.
"Hey now Tia, don't feel bad about it. All kids go through this..." He said softly leaning in for a gentle kiss, which was unfortunately short due to the squirming baby. "Whoops, look like Ben doesn't like that." He chuckled.
Tia chuckled back and gave her husband a hug. "Thanks George, I love you." She sighed. "I'll go put Ben down for a nap." She said before walking upstairs.
George sat down on the couch, sighing as he did so. His whole family ad been tense the past few weeks, including himself. He'd been having trouble at work, his wife Tia had been feeling unhealthy due to her thicker body after their second child, Kylie had been trying to get into bad crowds, and to top it all of Ben was teething.
"I gotta get things under control." He said quietly aloud before getting up and walking to the bathroom.
All the while, the computer of change waited for its next victim. The question is, who was about to discover the reality altering power, and in what program?
